H.E. Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi

His Excellency Dr. Jamal Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Secretary General of the National Media Authority, plays a vital role in shaping a responsible national media landscape that reflects the values and principles of the UAE. In addition to his primary responsibilities, he is committed to creating an environment that nurtures the growth and advancement of the media industry. By focusing on establishing a forward-thinking regulatory framework, His Excellency works to enhance the leadership of national media, ensuring it remains competitive and sustainable. These efforts are instrumental in crafting a unified strategic narrative that embodies the UAE’s national identity and leadership aspirations, while also strengthening its media influence and projecting a dignified, inspiring image of the nation on both regional and international stages.

In addition to his prominent leadership role, His Excellency brings extensive expertise in both the media and health sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from United Arab Emirates University (2002) and a master’s degree in public health and leadership from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the United States (2011).

Previously, His Excellency served as the Director-General of the National Media Office and has held several prestigious positions across the media and health sectors. Notably, he was the Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, a board member of the National Health Insurance Company, Director-General at the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, and Acting Director of the Social Development Sector at the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi Emirate.
